After 10 hours in the car with kids, we arrived around 5 p.m. (after the 4 p.m. check-in time) only to discover the home had not been cleaned after the previous guests. We left while the cleaners came in and prepared the property. The cleaning crew worked quickly, but it was disappointing to arrive after a long travel day and not be able to settle in right away. It's a shame, because the home itself is beautiful, and we enjoyed amenities like the hot tub, and the neighborhood is peaceful. The management company was always prompt and responsive. But we felt the situation wasn't really addressed beyond getting the cleaners there. A gesture acknowledging the inconvenience would have gone a long way. Overall, the property has a lot of potential and is in a beautiful setting, but the check-in experience put a damper on the trip and made the overall stay feel average rather than exceptional." (6/5)
