We were not pleased with the cleaning: fridge not wiped down inside or outside, obviously used (dirty) dishes put back in cupboards, sticky kitchen floor, inadequate bedding. NO clean pillowcases (finally found them in the washer unwashed), no mattress pads on downstairs beds, no top sheets on twin beds, no extra bedding found for upstairs sofa. Must bring your own dishwasher and laundry detergents, shampoo, & Kleenex." (6/5)

The location was excellent — close to Custer, just off the highway, and very convenient for all of the activities we had planned throughout the Black Hills area. The cabin felt secluded and peaceful, with beautiful scenery all around, including pasture, trees, and boulders. One of our favorite features was the covered back patio, which had a view of the Mickelson Trail. It was the perfect place for morning coffee, relaxing at the end of the day, and even stargazing at night. The cabin was very clean, nicely furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We also appreciated the layout, especially since we were traveling with another couple — one couple was able to stay upstairs and the other downstairs, which worked out perfectly. Communication with the host was great before and throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to" (10/5)

SxS trails are a very short jaunt off 385 to both the North and South & the Mickelson Trail is off the front yard. Negative: There was only 1 towel provided per person standard, but the host was quick to send a member of the cleaning crew to supply us with an additional towel per person. The extra towels were very much appreciated as most of us showered before and after hitting the trails each day." (10/5)
